Feeling "Not Good Enough"?

Too many of us live with our inner voices reinforcing the feeling that we are "not good enough." Squelched is living testimony that we need not succumb to the negative messages life may serve up to thwart our aspirations and best efforts. We can be more than the expectations of others. With conviction, effort, and hard work, we can overcome and move towards personal strength and happiness.
My personal story is everyone's story—the fear of public speaking. Most of us would rather die than be called upon to give a speech. Those who are too anxious to speak in public typically suffer from a lack of self-confidence and a fear of being judged.
Squelched is much more than a guide to becoming a better speaker. It can help to overcome the fear of being afraid or inferior as you gain confidence and self-acceptance, learning to feel secure in who you are. Read this book and apply the principles offered, and you will find yourself well on your way to finding your voice!

Here's what my readers have to say...

Terry tells not just a superficial story, but a story that cuts right through to the heart of his inner thoughts and how tough life can be. But yet, how success can be achieved by overcoming life's obstacles. Rarely can you read an honest account like this. Do not miss that chance.

"Squelched" is the story of anyone's journey, male or female. If you came of age with never-ending scripts from parents, teachers, friends, and others saying, "You can't," "You shouldn't," and "You won't," this is for you. Terry Beard learned he could, and he should... then he DID. He tells his story with honesty, humility, and humor, drawing you in with a writing style that allows you to find your story. I recommend "Squelched" to clients who ask, "Should I," "Can I," "Will I"? Then I ask, "Why shouldn't you," "Why can't you," and "Why wouldn't you"?

Awareness by awareness, discovery by discovery, fueled by true grit and resolve, Terry snipped away the tethers of the past and created his own opportunity to soar to new heights and fly with the eagles.

Terry's enthusiasm has helped countless men and women "find their voice." The book is refreshingly honest and enjoyable to read. Terry's storytelling throughout the book will motivate others to seek their potential. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.

When I read "Squelched" one year ago, I was on the way to changing my life. It made me realize that when you need to do something important, it is possible, although it seems difficult. It is very frightening, but it is possible! For me, it was amazing to read Terry's story. He has done so much in his life, and I admire him for that. What I also appreciate with Terry is his interest in other people.

I just wanted to say how much I really enjoyed reading your book. In addition to it being your story, it's a GREAT story! I always have to wonder about the people doing the squelching—it's as if the only way they know how to make their stature greater is by lowering yours. What is also inspiring about your story is that you always seem to turn obstacles or what others would call failures into wonderful opportunities. What a great Army experience you had! And yet others would say it's the booby prize, and do nothing but drink beer and complain. Yet for you, it sounds like an amazing experience!

Just now finished reading "Squelched." Your suffering, your sacrifices have not been in vain. Quite the contrary. By sharing them with others through your public speaking and writing, you've given strength to those who may lack your ability to face adversity head on, and to overcome it on their own. At a time when so many are searching for a better way... a richer life... your book is big in its vision. Well done! Thank you so much for sharing it with me. I am so proud of our years together. My best to you.
